Welcome to my page,
Hi, my name is Lauren over the last few years I have found a love for fitness and healthy well-being, I was overweight since I was a child and I know how hard it is to make a change. I started this blog because I would like to help others with the knowledge I’ve gained through years of bad choices and self experimentation with nutrition and exercise. I am not a qualified nutritionist however I am currently studying Cert 3 & 4 fitness. Hopefully I can help others avoid the same bad decisions and confusion that I experienced.
My transformation below occurred over about 2 – 2.5 years. However I was still trying to lose fat for many years before these photos. Even during this process I still had minimal knowledge when at the time I thought I had enough. It is a hard process to understand I was eating foods that are promoted on TV and sold in supermarkets as “healthy” and with minimal success consuming these “healthy foods” I was than told I had to eat grilled chicken and steamed veggies all day, everyday. The problem with both of these scenarios is that I was blindly believing and trusted what I was told. It is so important to educate yourself and make a self investment towards a healthier life.
I started reading books and I was frequently on Google, after I sifted through websites of more promised “healthy foods” and “new miracle weight loss pills”, I came across calorie counting. I firmly stand by calorie counting as long as the individual does not sacrifice quality for quantity.
In regards to my exercise regime I have been weight lifting consistently for the past 6 years, boxing for 2 years and I recently started calisthenics.
I’ve included a section with a basic review of calorie counting, also I’ve included information about ingredients I frequently use and why I love them.
Thank you for visiting 🙂
